As a Parts Sales CSR you will build customer relationships by traveling to customer locations for the purpose of selling, receiving and delivery of aftermarket parts and accessories. You will also perform follow-up activities, address customer concerns, and promote monthly promotions. Collect profiling information in order to enhance the customer experience. Customer focus will be on Ag, Professional Landscape Companies (PLC) and Municipalities. Employees will receive on-the-job training as well as other training through John Deere University (JDU).
Essential Functions:
� Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers. Increase sales and profit with existing customers.
� Seek new customers and develop relationships, creating market with new customers; Ag, Professional Landscape Companies (PLC) and Municipalities.
� Maximize business relationships through positive customer engagement and regularly planned sales call frequency.
� Sell aftermarket parts. Schedule sales calls before calling on accounts. Have a plan, be prepared with materials they may have asked for previously or new promotion opportunities.
� Addresses customer concerns and resolves problems effectively and satisfactorily
� Profiles customer�s machines, vehicles and demographic information
� Determine replacement parts according to inspection of old parts, customer requests or description of malfunction
� Look up parts for prices/quotes using computers/catalogs
� Advise customer on substitution of parts (different manufacturers)
� Prepare sales quotes/invoice
� Keep current on new products and product updates
� Keep daily sales log and invoice tracking
� Company vehicle, phone and laptop will be provided (after 9o-days)
Hours:
� Monday-Friday 8-5
� Saturdays 8-12 (April, May, September, October)
� During seasonal/peak-time longer hours may be required
Qualifications:
� At least 2 year�s Sales experience required
� A positive and friendly attitude is a required.
� Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department Operations
� Turf/Ag equipment experience preferred
� Excellent customer service skills
� MUST be computer savvy.
� MUST be proficient in MS Office Suite
� MUST be proficient with Internet applications
� MUST have proficient oral and written skills
� MUST have a HS Diploma or GED
� College degree preferred
� Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
� Must have a valid and clean driver�s license
� Fork lift license preferred
